While it is our hope that individuals in our school community will opt to stay home or travel only in our region this holiday season, we anticipate that some families will travel out of our region. As such, we wanted to update you on two pieces of new guidance issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH):
We are asking our school community for partnership in keeping our schools safe by adhering to this new guidance as the incidence of COVID-19 continues to increase in many states and countries. If anyone in your household travels outside of California, please self-quarantine and contact your student’s school office. Students will be required to quarantine for 14 days after any travel outside of California.
Please be mindful to continue completing daily symptom review of your student before reporting to school each day. Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, muscle aches and pains, fatigue, headache, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and new loss of smell or taste. If anyone in your household is exhibiting ANY of these symptoms, please DO NOT send your student back to school and instead notify the district office at 758-8447.
Thank you in advance for your attention to these important safety matters. Enjoy your holidays!
