Substitute - Teaching
 
To become a substitute teacher for the district, you must first obtain the appropriate permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentials and be active on the County Wide Substitute List. For more information on your status or process,  please contact the Kern County Superintendent of Schools at 661.636.4751 or email [email protected] to determine your eligibility as a substitute teacher.

Substitute - Classified 
 
To become a substitute for the classified substitute pool, please apply on Edjoin.org and upload the required documents:
  • Application (Complete)
  • High School/GED Verification
  • Letter of Interest 
  • Resume
